"The partisans" is the story of 25 maquis (french resistance) who took refuge in a cave, between July 21st and 23rd of 1944, stood up to an enemy battalion at the Pas de l'Aiguille, in the Vercors massif. This piece, combining acoustic instruments and folk choirs, culminates in an epic rock finale. It echoes to "The Partisan" by Leonard Cohen, a tribute to partisans wherever they come from, who fight to save their lands, their families and to find the path to freedom.
